मुंबईत पालिकेच्या आरक्षित जमिनींच्या वापरात बदल करण्यावरून राजकारण तापलं आहे. मुलुंडमधील क्रीडा संकुलासाठी राखीव ४ हजार चौरस मीटर जमीन पेट्रोल पंपासाठी, तर जोगेश्वरीतील १ हजार ८४० चौरस मीटर उद्यानाच्या जमिनीला निवासी वापरासाठी मंजुरी देण्यात आल्याचं सांगितलं जात आहे. प्रस्तावांवर पुरेशी चर्चा झाली नसल्याचा आरोप करत सर्वपक्षीय विरोधकांनी सभात्याग केला असून, मुलुंड आणि वरळीच्या प्रकरणी न्यायालयात जाण्याचा इशारा दिला आहे.Political tensions have intensified in Mumbai over changes in the use of civic reserved lands.
