NFA notifies partial modification of guidelines for Dr T Ao Trophy

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): In pursuance of the coordination meeting held with district football associations on September 21 and the decisions taken thereafter at the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) Executive Meeting on the same day, the NFA notified the following directives/additional instructions in addition to and in partial modification of the Tournament Guidelines issued for the upcoming Dr T Ao Trophy (25th Inter-District Football Championship) 2026.Registration of players & officialsIn partial modification of Sec.4 and relevant sub-clauses of the Tournament Guidelines, the maximum players allowed for final registration of team has been enhanced from 20 players to 22 players, with no further changes allowed thereafter to the squad submitted on arrival.Central Registration SystemTeams must ensure that the documentation and registration of all players under CRS are mandatorily completed latest by 7th October, 2026.For the purpose of applying provisions of Sec. 2.2 of the Tournament Guidelines, an NOC from the parent DFA shall be mandatory.Tournament logoAll participating teams are to compulsorily print / display the official tournament logo (2 ½ inch by 2 ½ inches) on the right sleeve of the jersey in the manner prescribed by the NFA Media Committee.Teams arrivalAll teams are instructed to report at Mokokchung latest by 2:00 PM on 12th October, 2026 and also to be present for the rehearsal of the opening ceremony on the same day followed by a Team Managers’ meeting on 13th of October, 2026.Preparatory fundAll DFAs are informed to submit its account details to the Treasurer, NFA for disbursement of Preparatory fund of Rs. 50,000 by account transfer.Branding & Media mattersAll Media Rights, commercial and marketing rights of the NFA, tournament brandings including Digital Media and Image Rights; and broadcasting partner are exclusive rights of the NFA; and shall be regulated and supervised by the NFA Media Committee.Ticket revenue share10% of the ticket revenue share generated in the tournament shall be paid by the host District to the NFA in compliance of the NFA’s standing order dt.06.03.26 on 10% ticket revenue share to be levied on all state-level NFA approved tournaments.This was notified by NFA President K Neibou Sekhose and Joint Secretary Chenonlo Woch.
