NSDMA forecasts largely settled, localised weather in Nagaland

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): Weather conditions across Nagaland are expected to remain largely settled from September 23 to 26, with localised thunderstorm activity forecast on September 23 and 26, the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) stated.No district is currently under an alert or warning-level advisory, it added, in a weather update covering the period.On September 23, thunderstorms/lightning with light rain are forecast in Chümoukedima, Kohima, Longleng, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto.Thunderstorms/lightning are also forecast in Dimapur, Mokokchung, Peren and Phek, while Kiphire and Meluri are expected to remain cloudy.On September 24 and 25, overcast/cloudy conditions are likely forecast in some districts, while most others are expected to remain partly cloudy, the update informed.On September 26, thunderstorms/lightning are forecast in Dimapur, Kiphire and Meluri, while Kohima, Longleng, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu and Wokha are expected to remain partly cloudy, it added.Meanwhile, the NSDMA urged public to regularly monitor the latest weather updates through the Safer Nagaland mobile application and NSDMA Weather Portal, and to follow official advisories issued from time to time.
